Epoxy Glass Flake Anti-Corrosion Paint

Epoxy glass flake anti-corrosion paint is a high-build, two-component epoxy coating reinforced with glass flakes.

It is used on surfaces exposed to severe corrosive environments and frequent abrasion, such as splash zones, breakwaters, and decks. It is also suitable for use as part of a coating system for the interior walls of crude oil storage tanks and chemical containers.


Product Features


The glass flakes are densely arranged within the coating film, forming a compact and continuous barrier layer that effectively blocks contact between corrosive media and the substrate. It provides excellent resistance to corrosion from acids, alkalis, salts, seawater, atmospheric conditions, and various oils.

The glass flakes possess high hardness and strength, enhancing the mechanical properties of the coating film. This improves its wear resistance, impact resistance, and extends its service life.

The epoxy resin exhibits excellent adhesion, allowing it to firmly bond with a variety of substrates.

Surface Treatment 

 The steel surface to be coated must be thoroughly cleaned of oil, scale, rust, and old coatings. This can be achieved through shot blasting or sandblasting methods to meet the Swedish standard Sa2.5, with a surface roughness of 30-70 μm. Alternatively, manual cleaning methods can be used to meet the Swedish standard St3, with a surface roughness of 30-70 μm.

1、 Avoid contact with skin and eyes。

2、When paint comes into contact with skin, wash with warm water or appropriate detergent. If paint comes into contact with eyes, flush with plenty of water and seek medical attention immediately.

3、Ensure good ventilation.

4、The paint contains combustible substances, please keep away from sparks and prohibit smoking in the immediate area.

5、All health and safety requirements will be observed on site.

 

Storage

Store in a dry and cool environment, away from heat and ignition sources. The drum must be kept closed.

Storage period: 12 months from date of manufacture (25°C)
