Coating Selection
Based on the needs of Tangshan Special Vehicle Manufacturing Company, we recommend and provide the following two types of coatings:
1. Epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer: This primer has excellent corrosion resistance and adhesion, suitable for the steel structure surfaces of tankers.
2. Acrylic Polyurethane Topcoat: This topcoat offers outstanding weather resistance, UV protection, and decorative effects, providing long-lasting appearance protection and aesthetics for tankers.
Technical Solutions
To ensure the best coating results, our company offers the following technical solutions:
1. Surface Treatment
Before coating, the steel surface of the tanker will undergo sandblasting to ensure the surface roughness reaches Sa2.5 level, removing all rust, oil, and other impurities, providing an ideal substrate surface for primer adhesion.
2. Primer Application
Using the Epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer, we will apply the primer to the sandblasted steel:
- Application Method: High-pressure airless spraying will be used to ensure an even coverage of the paint film.
- Film Thickness: The thickness of a single layer of the paint film will be controlled at 60-80 microns to ensure adequate corrosion protection.
- Drying Time: Natural drying for 24 hours to ensure complete curing of the primer.
3. Topcoat Application
After the primer is fully dried, we will proceed with the application of the Acrylic Polyurethane Topcoat:
- Application Method: High-pressure airless spraying will be used to ensure a smooth and even topcoat.
- Film Thickness: The thickness of a single layer of the paint film will be controlled at 40-50 microns, with a total thickness of two layers reaching 80-100 microns.
- Drying Time: A 12-hour interval is required between each layer of application before proceeding to the next layer, with a final natural drying time of 48 hours.
